My name is Ada Esther Gil Jimenez, and I am the CEO and Founder of AEGJ Construction LLC, a licensed general contracting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in North Carolina since the age of 14, I bring over two decades of combined experience in technology, project management, and construction. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Technology Integration (CPCC) and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology (Western Governors University). After years in the IT field, my passion for building led me back to my roots in the trades — a path inspired in part by my father’s drywall business and my own journey as a single mother purchasing my first home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the end of 2022, I founded AEGJ Construction LLC to create opportunities for families like mine — and to serve our community with integrity, excellence, and faith. Today, my company proudly holds a North Carolina General Contractor’s License (Building) for residential and commercial work. We are certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) with the NC HUB, the City of Charlotte, and Supplier Gateway. Our team holds OSHA 10/30 Certifications in construction safety.
Community & Advocacy
As a proud mother and advocate for inclusion, I am actively engaged with organizations such as the National Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC) and the Home Builders Institute (HBI), where I speak to new trades professionals about building their future in construction. My mission is to inspire other women, Hispanic entrepreneurs, and single parents to step boldly into the trades, create new opportunities, and build with purpose.
